National tourism institutes within universities

National tourism institutes within universities

Created as part of the Destination France plan, the INNTO France-Instituts nationaux de Tourisme network is an association governed by the law of July 1, 1901 and the decree of August 16, 190. Today, it brings together 5 national tourism institutes, called INNTOs, throughout France. Their mission is to develop higher education and research in tourism within French universities.

All are public university institutes under the authority of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, which approves the diplomas they award. With almost 100 higher education degree courses and over 6,000 students, INNTOs are the leading national public network of higher education courses in tourism.

Each INNTO offers tourism training courses for students, executives and managers, and awards state diplomas (DEUST, licence, licence professionnelle, master’s and doctorate), certificates and university degrees in all areas of tourism and hospitality.

Developing the network together

Through his presidency of INNTO France, Jean-René MORICE proposes to pursue the network’s development, in terms of dynamics, attractiveness and cohesion, in order to promote national tourism institutes and affirm the strong link they maintain with the vast ecosystem represented by businesses, institutional bodies and all tourism professionals, in conjunction with universities, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.
