Training objectives

The Master of Gastronomy program aims to provide students with knowledge, skills and know-how in the field of gastronomy. In 2010, the inclusion of the French gastronomic meal on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity led to a proliferation of gastronomic professions, discourses and imaginaries in France. Gastronomy has thus become the object of every curiosity, every project and every strategy, both internally (identity issues) and, even more so, externally (gastrodiplomacy and soft power issues).

Job opportunities professionals

On completion of this course, you will be eligible for a wide range of opportunities, including :
  • Careers in gourmet tourism
  • The gourmet heritage professions
  • Gourmet communication professions
  • The gourmet events business (trade shows, fairs and gourmet festivals);
  • The professions of gourmet publishing ;
  • Gourmet museum professions ;
  • Careers in food criticism.

Profile of the applicant

The Master's program is open to anyone (students, adults returning to school, jobseekers) with a bachelor's or professional degree in tourism, social sciences, humanities, economics or management.... Curiosity and an interest in the gastronomy, oenology and hospitality industries are essential. Any experience in these same sectors would be a plus!
