Word the training manager

Access to heritage is a social, economic, environmental and even political issue for our society, as it stimulates (re)discovery from the site to the world. Encouraging new ways of looking at heritage sites among visitors, and fostering project spaces between cultural and tourism players - these are the skills targeted by this course, which is designed to promote the development of establishments and regions. The scientific and professional content of the courses, complemented by a wealth of field experience, are designed to train responsible future professionals committed to enhancing the value of our heritage.

Training objectives

The various forms of heritage (museums, monuments and cultural sites) make a significant contribution to the appeal and influence of tourism on a national scale. The various cultural activities (visits, excursions...) create tourist flows and thus direct spin-offs for professionals in the accommodation, gastronomy and transport sectors... Discovering heritage and culture is an integral part of the program for tourists on holiday (25% of them do so). An intensification of the practice is noted outside the region of residence and over the vacation period, and therefore in a tourist environment and context. The development of tourism requires reflection on the conditions for opening up cultural sites, landscapes and areas of know-how to the public, so that heritage, in its relationship with tourism, continues to be a way of learning about the contemporary world. In this sense, the question of managing visitor flows and even regulating access to sites requires professionals to develop a new understanding of cultural and natural spaces. The sector's professionals are also questioning the opportunities for the emergence of new heritages... Among the questions being asked is that of the ecological transition, which involves both tourism and heritage players, and challenges them to evolve their modes of governance.
