Training objectives

Working in today's hospitality industry requires a wide range of skills. They must be technical in order to meet the new expectations of customers and employees alike. However, a manager also needs to be versatile and able to provide analysis in the more strategic areas of business life. A future hotel entrepreneur will have demonstrated a real aptitude for understanding the market, the business, its evolution and its adaptability.

The aim of this course is to train multi-skilled hotel managers in the following areas;

  • Management in the broadest sense (strategy, management, marketing, finance, etc.)
  • Organization of HR service production (regulations, building engineering, etc.),
  • Entrepreneurship (business start-ups and takeovers)
  • Modern languages

Job opportunities professionals

Our training will give you the opportunity to enter the job market quickly, so that you can project yourself into setting up YOUR own hotel business in the more or less long term... In professional terms, the aim of the degree is to prepare students for positions of responsibility in the hotel and catering sector. The targeted professions are

  • Hotel and/or restaurant manager,
  • Hotel and/or restaurant management assistant
  • Manager, café, bar, brasserie
  • Multi-skilled receptionist in charge of yield management

As one of the objectives of the license is to support business start-ups, it should be noted that two viable long-term businesses are created per graduating class (see 4.6).

Although the Bachelor's degree is designed for integration into the job market, it should be noted that every year 20% of students go on to a Master's degree without any particular difficulty. This is a point of vigilance for the program. In some cases, this is due to the company's desire to continue the student's work-study contract into a Master's degree.

Profile of the applicant

This course is aimed at students with a BAC +2 who are planning to set up, take over or manage an accommodation and/or catering business over the medium to long term. Previous studies in hotel and catering (Bac STHR, BTS MHR...) are a plus.

For students coming from fields other than hotel and catering, experience in this sector is strongly recommended (internship, work-study program, student job, etc.), and a grounding in management disciplines is required. The course is also aimed at working people who would like to return to their studies, or who have plans to open or take over a business in the accommodation and catering sector (or related sectors).
