Anchored in territorial realities and adapted to specific coastal features, the Master's program offers academic and professionalizing teaching within a small class size of 30 students. The program's strengths include its participative teaching approach, support and guidance systems, and long internship periods (4 months in M1 and 6 months in M2).

The objectives of the Coastal Spaces and Societies Master's degree

Coastal areas are one of France's main tourist destinations. The high level of seasonal visitor numbers, the economic spin-offs for the region and the jobs created all bear witness to the real and sustained dynamism of this sector. The aim of the program is to offer students interested in tourism in coastal areas the opportunity to develop and implement their project over the course of two years of higher education (Bac+4 and Bac+5). The program enables students to acquire a thorough understanding of the sectors and professions on offer, based on the specific characteristics (economic, demographic, sociological, spatial, etc.) of coastal areas. The Espaces et Sociétés Littorales Master's degree is explicitly multi-disciplinary in terms of academic content (management, law, economics, geography, history, sociology, etc.) and professionalization (two compulsory foreign languages, digital tools, marketing, communication, internships, etc.). In addition to the acquisition of skills and knowledge, the development of general culture and critical thinking skills is a particular focus.
